I am for offense.

We need to make it painful to be a leftists. The leftists have been punching us in the face for 60 years while the GOP muzzled us, lied to us, and led us down blind alleys. We need to take the gloves off for a bare-knuckle beat down of both the GOP and the “Democratic” Party.

Because the Lusitania was sending weapons to Britain.

The Lusitania was a legal target but Britain helped push America into the war by sharing with America the Zimmerman Telegram.

The Zimmermann Telegram was a secret diplomatic communication issued from the German Foreign Office in January 1917 that proposed a military alliance between Germany and Mexico if the United States entered World War I against Germany. Mexico would recover Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. The telegram was intercepted and decoded by British intelligence.

British revelation of the telegram's contents enraged Americans, especially after German Foreign Secretary Arthur Zimmermann publicly admitted on March 3 that the telegram was genuine. It helped to generate support for the American declaration of war on Germany in April.

I think it was Churchill who said, “America eventually does the right thing,” meaning, of course, America’s entrance into the two world wars.

Now that the commies have staged an insurrection, and have us by the throat, if we supposedly eventually do the right thing I see no sign of it.

To use the word the left uses, they are asleep, haven’t become “woke” to the truth.

Agree !

I read an interesting take on why the UK rushed to war.
According to the book “The Sleepwalkers” (A book about the last few years then days prior to the ruch to war!) The UK government was worried about an Army coup against the government due to Army high command anger over the Irish home rule bill. Allowing “diplomatic actions” to get out of control in 1914 was useful in misdirecting that anger away from the government and focusing it on Europe. Of course that decision had even more disastoruous results !
