Work for one of the dozens of Fed.gov law enforcement agencies. After all, there is zero chance they will be defunded, or even investigated.

I've wondered that for many years now. They all have a target on their backs and not just from the dregs of society.

Good LEO jobs are hard to get. Many deputies live in my county and commute to less desirable locales to work in law enforcement.

Depends on where you're working as a cop - Colin Flaherty says rural police departments in Northern California, Oregon and Washington are full of former Philly, Chicago, NY City and Washington DC cops.
