Out of curiosity I googled Pomona Fairplex. perhaps the land once occupied a Japanese internment camp but that doesn’t exist now. It’s actually a large event destination complex. Looks pretty good to me.

Imagine the media if this had happened during Trump's presidency. They would ignore the fact that American citizens of Asian ancestry were locked up during FDR's time. They would write only about how bad Trump was.
