19,000 illegal unaccompanied children is equivalent to half the population of Galveston, TX, or all of Nogales, AZ, or of Agoura Hills, CA, or West Hempstead, NY, or Cherry Hill, VA or Junction City, KS
53,000 family units is equivalent to the 3-4x the population of Port Arthur, TX, or Maricopa, AZ, or Palm Desert, CA, or Niagara Falls, NY, or Leesburg, VA or Manhattan, KS (family unit pod estimate of 4-5 individuals)
And if the child wasn't kidnapped, the parents -- if they ever step foot in the USA -- should be prosecuted for child neglect. child endangerment, etc.
That is the first thing I thought of when I saw this story..
This would be GLOBAL front page news if it happened under trump. The media would be talking about it 24/7.
