The cops did not screw up. If anyone is to blame, Other than Floyd himself, it is the crowd.

Derek did everything he could, with the suspect that is resisting arrest, in front of a crowd that is getting restless.

In case no one noticed, all the cops on the scene had to be managing crowd control rather than helping Floyd.

Floyd killed himself when he took three times a fatal dose.

Officer should have followed Never interfere with the enemy when he is in the process of destroying himself.

The videos I saw, the crowd was yelling at the cops that Floyd couldn’t breathe, not threatening them. One of the cops said Floyd had no pulse. The cops had to keep an eye on the crowd, not control them.

Chauvin also had the obligation to monitor Floyd, and for three minutes after Floyd was unconscious, apneic, and incontinent, he didn’t...probably because his idea of crowd control means not looking weak, not yielding...and maybe he realized at some point what had happened and was afraid to deal with it in public.

I agree that Floyd was going to die. In fact what we were all watching on that video was a man dying. He was over dosing and his heart was going to stop. The only mistake they made was sitting in him for so long. If he was in such a panic then they could have gotten him a ambulance and cuffed him and rode with him. I think they waited to long in front of a restless crowd. They had him in the car and wonder why they let him out. Because he said he couldn’t breath. I wouldn’t have let him out.
