Universal background checks should be required for voting

I know the left does not want to hear this, but there is no right to vote. It is not a right enumerated in the Constitution. Despite that, voting is a powerful thing. It is more powerful than a firearm. The illegal use of a firearm can lead to loss of lives, but the illegal use of votes can undo the will of the entire country.

That is why democrats have lost their minds. Only after 47 years in office is Joe Biden screaming about voting laws being "Jim Crow."

He claimed the election changes “make Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle,” which makes no sense except to suggest he’s got birds on his brain. Biden did it again Friday, after Georgia’s election changes were signed into law by Gov. Brian Kemp, saying the changes represent “Jim Crow in the 21st century.”

By then it was clear Jim Crow was the party’s official talking point. Stacey Abrams and Atlanta protesters both labeled the Georgia law “Jim Crow 2.0.” One activist called it “Jim Crow with makeup and cologne.” Another called it “Jim Crow in a suit and tie.”

The list goes on, but you get the point. The left is eager to racialize any dispute and, for shock effect, dredges up dark pages from out history that bear zero resemblance to the current situation.

But one need not probe too deeply to find proof that Biden is mentally challenged:
But as others have pointed out, voting laws in Delaware are stricter than the new law in Georgia, yet Biden never said peep about his home state.
democrats fully believe that minorities are too stupid to be able to procure an ID. Somehow minorities are not too stupid to get ID's to fly, drive or gain entry to a Democrat National Convention.

There are seven things for which the Federal Jim Crow Government requires an ID

1.Welfare Benefits

2. Registration for Buying Guns

3. Petition Your Government

4. Right of Assembly

5. Right to Marry

6. Freedom of Movement (flying_

7. Public Accommodations (hotels)

There are many more times an ID is required, such as buying alcohol, cigarettes, opening a bank account, applying for food stamps or welfare, applying for welfare or social security, adopting a pet and buying certain cold medications (pseudoephedrine in particular) among them.

All civilized nations in the world require ID for voting. The Supreme Court has ruled that a photo ID does not place an undue burden on voters and does not violate their Constitutional rights.

Yes, this is a good reality check. We should require photo ID to vote, and voting should be in person, on paper, not electronic. And it should be on an election day, not over several months.

This is absolutely brilliant.

Why are some “rights” allowed to have soooo many caveats, contingencies, and qualifiers, but other so-called rights are pushed to the precipice of anarchy and free-for-all chaos?

The real answer is, who do you want to give the power to? The people, or the government?

Anybody who has ever personally profited by violating anybody else’s rights has proven they are incapable of living much less voting in civilization

Better idea: Issue every American citizen, at no out of pocket cost to him or her, a US passport. Update it periodically. Require voters to show their passport at the polls.

Problem solved.

Why? Let’s see. Background checks needed for guns that kill people but no background checks needed for illegal voters that can kill the Republic. Hmmmmmm

If voting is the most important thing that a citizen can do, then, it must require IDs for elections, all of them.

Winning elections awards the right to manage the money and direction of a locality or state or country. Changing the direction of a country can be far more damaging than an invasion by foreign power. Taking control of a country should only be done via fair elections requiring IDs and no fraud. So, even if the country heads in the ‘wrong’ direction, it would have been fair if only citizens with verifiable IDs did the voting.

Democrats imposed their damaging agenda on the country via the heavily fraudulent voting in the last election. There s no way that the majority of the people really wanted Biden and/or the socialist agenda which the democrats promised. It was a coup of a magnitude that has never been seen in human history.

The rights of the American people are not enumerated in the US Constitution. Some rights are directly mentioned in parts of the US Constitution, but the lack of mention does NOT mean those rights aren’t real.

9th Amendment - “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”

I agree rhetorically that if you slapped half the anti-gun restrictions the left loves so much on things like voting or abortion (ID checks, background checks, mandatory waiting periods, expensive education courses, etc.), they’d lose their minds, but we should be clear that the US Constitution protects ALL our rights; not only those mentioned by name.

Not sure paper makes it harder to cheat.

Electronic can work as long as it prints out a copy of your vote with serialized # so it can’t easily be printed elsewhere an brought in.

issue every American a good quality firearm of his or her choice, the price being only that they complete a firearms safety class.

this will solve 90 percent of the problem.

also restore sbooting sports and firearms safety classes to all high schools. toss out ethnic grievance studies to pay for the costs
