I'd give her a pass on that. She is a law school graduate, even if she hasn't jumped through the hops to practice law. She presumably has more knowledge about legal issues than the normal person.
I would also have given her a pass on cutting the true President off if she had said "I'm not allowed to cover that topic" or something to imply that her employer has imposed limits. She didn't, though, and for that I would fault her.
