They don’t expect that republicans will EVER get back into power...

This is my thinking as well. They want to use their temporary, and paper thin, control of the federal government to ram through legislation that will essentially end free and fair elections in the USA.

Of course there's always the danger, for them, that the Supreme Courts will strike down their attempt to Sovietize our elections. That's why the next step will be to pack the Supreme Court with political hacks like Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Democracy and rule by law in this country are hanging by a thread.

Democrats hate being out of power, and they hate losing elections.

The only way to guarantee they don't lose power, is to take advantage of their slim advantages in the numbers in the house and senate.

FACT is that, democrats were losing elections, left and right, including the certainty that Trump would win reelection. They came up with a 'method' to make sure Trump would 'lose'. They're doing the same with the senate and house.

If not for the cheating, democrats would have ended up an inconsequential political party, hence, the drastic measure they took to make sure they stayed relevant. And they aim to keep that power forever.
