Dominion Voting Systems sued FOX News on Friday for $1.6 billion in a defamation lawsuit.
Back in November FOX News host Dana Perino urged Dominion Voting Systems to sue Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell.

Dominion Voting Systems filed a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News on Friday, arguing the cable news giant falsely claimed in an effort to boost faltering ratings that the voting company had rigged the 2020 election.
The lawsuit is part of a growing body of legal action filed by the voting company and other targets of misleading, false and bizarre claims spread by President Donald Trump and his allies in the aftermath of Trump’s election loss to Joe Biden. Those claims helped spur on rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 in a violent siege that left five people dead, including a police officer. The siege led to Trump’s historic second impeachment.
Dominion argues that Fox News, which amplified inaccurate assertions that Dominion altered votes, “sold a false story of election fraud in order to serve its own commercial purposes, severely injuring Dominion in the process,” according to a copy of the lawsuit obtained by The Associated Press.

1st Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
And so, based on the evolution of our Republic, no government has the power to abridge our 1st Amendment rights.
It also says Congress shall not make laws about establishing a religion. The reason why it say “Congress shall not” is because about three-fourths of the states at that time had established religions, and they did not want Congress interfering with it.
But do you think a state today could establish a religion?
Again- the first says nothing about why Fox, Sidney, or Dominion may or may not say, so it’s simply not an issue.
It will be settled in the courts. As it should be. She and Fox either have irrefutable hard evidence or they will be sued into oblivion.
And zinger or not, it’s the truth; no matter how many ignorant people on left or right whine or bitch about their ‘first amendment rights’ being abridged, they know nothing of what they are talking about, it’s not a ‘first amendment’ issue unless a governmental entity prohibits it, end of subject.

It means no such thing. It means Congress or the states can’t prohibit you or me from saying something. It has zero to do with getting sued for defamation of character or any other such thing. No one has the ‘freedom to converse and disseminate ideas..” that involves lying, making false claims or disseminating other BS and not facing the risks of getting sued.

Then why is Rudy Giuliani begging them to sue him? Because the guy is on tape stating they would do everything to keep Trump from winning this would merit further investigation
Why? I don’t know. Let’s see if they do sue him or not, and what will happen when/if they do. What I do know is so far it’s unfortunately being our side getting shaken, and none (literally zero) of them have taken the ‘discovery!!!!’ approach so famous in the forums. What has happened in reality is that very different from what has been the case in the forums.
A lot has happened in reality that has been very different from what has been said in the forums. To the extent, unfortunately, that if the forums say ‘today is Saturday and it may rain’ I’d have to check the calendar, the weather forecast, consult an almanac and even out of curiosity check the cicada mating cycle. A lot of ‘truths’ given on the forums over the past 6 months have just been plain nonsense.
My post could also be part of that nonsense, but at least I know it could be. Most of the nonsense in this and other forums has unfortunately been from people not knowing how nonsensical they really are.
Going back to the case of Giuliani - time will tell. Could be the case of Brer Rabbit not wanting to be thrown in ‘thar briar patch.’
But I suspect if he does get sued he is more likely than not to act like all the others have acted.
As in, contrary to forum expectations.
