Those Community Chest and Chance cards are pretty much timeless as they are. There is nothing “outdated” about them. The beauty contest card they are replacing as outdated was obviously meant to be humorous by having a picture of Uncle Pennybags winning “Second Place” in the contest and you get $10.00 - it’s a funny card. Now it will be gone.

These people are just messed up. Too much time on their hands.

Many of us played Monopoly as a way to realize a bit about making it in a capitalistic society. The new cards give more a feel good appeal rather than a teachable moment about saving money and investing.
