Don’t overlook the erosion of public trust caused by misclassification of deaths.

Public officials had only one chance to get it right. After that, nobody trusts them, their motives or their data.

From Fauci on down this has been a bureaucratic cluster—ck on how not to do public relations.

The more the government elite treat the citizenry like recalcitrant children, the more citizens act like it. Now we are in a spiral of broken trust because the elite demand our respect and trust while refusing to grant us the same.

And these over-educated self entitled pissants are convinced that it’s us rubes that are the problem.

Of course, we are the problem. Things would be so much better if we’d just do as we’re told. After all, they only have our best interests at heart. (sarc)

But, I disagree that public officials only have one chance to get it right. I suspect they would get a second/third chance if they respected the rest of us sufficiently to admit they made mistakes.
