The war colleges teach that for very strategy and weapons system there is counter strategy and counter actions that can be taken.
Are they wrong?

nope but you do show a total lack of knowledge about internal uprisings.
Historically they are achieved by about 3% of the population and they are always under armed and under estimated.
Read a little history and educate yourself.
You might want to think about two terms.
One persons terrorist is another persons freedom fighter. It is all a matter of perspective.
Atypical warfare.
Blowing up water sources/tubes/aqueducts, power tower lines, railroad bridges, and road bridges into the big cities then going home and tending the crops till next time. No water, no food, no electrical power, no fuel, and lots of fear.
It takes time to rebuild things like that and you do not have to hang around and watch. Just observe the changes that are made to protect the resources, adapt your tactics and come back after they are done fixing things and do it again.
You have proven you have no experience in war, no imagination/critical problem solving ability, and absolutely no knowledge of atypical warfare.
We have taught this to other insurgents all over the world. Don’t you think that this knowledge is retained?
Only the stupid and inexperienced would believe a real uprising would go head to head with superior weapons systems.
Mind you I am not suggesting any of this is the proper path to take, but this is the way they say it is done at the military war college.
