It is by far the best article on the subject of women in combat. It was written by a female Marine. It is VERY well written and unsparing.
Women in Combat - The Question of Standards by Jude Eden
When I read it, I found it to be depressing, sad, brilliant, uplifting, and ominous all at the same time.
That pretty much sums it up.
It won't happen now, and it won't happen during some years of the peacetime military. But when we get to a point we are fighting an enemy who is going to be evenly matched with us, we are going to lose, because they cannot be stupid enough to follow the path we have. And when it happens, the people who will scream the loudest in protest, are going to be the successors to the people who made this all happen, since they will likely be kicking back somewhere, comfortable in their Monday morning armchairs, talking about how it wasn't the emasculation of the military combat units that caused this, it was that we didn't spend enough time, money, and effort to make it work.
I worked at the Naval Space Command in the late 80’s about the time when they were first putting women on ships. I remember attending a conference with a couple of Rear Admirals that got rather informal. After reminiscing about the antics of whores in Saigon, one of them commented on women on ships by saying “What do you get when you put healthy 20 year old men and women in close quarters? Babies! Lots of babies!”

It definitely has been and continues to be the emasculation of the military in lots of ways!
Some of the women in the military KNOW women should not be in combat. Any woman who thinks women should be in combat is an EVIL FEMINAZI, AND/OR A BUTCH, ETC.
NO WOMEN IN COMBAT!!
ALSO, NO HOMOS/LESBOS/BUTCHES/GAYS/ETC. IN THE MILITARY, EVER!!
I wonder if women really want to go to combat in the Mideast. Do they really think the Muslims who treat their own women as second class citizens would treat them with respect if they were captured in combat?
