Masking Children: Tragic, Unscientific, and Damaging

Summary: Children do not readily acquire SARS-CoV-2 (very low risk), spread it to other children or teachers, or endanger parents or others at home. This is the settled science. In the rare cases where a child contracts Covid virus it is very unusual for the child to get severely ill or die. Masking can do positive harm to children – as it can to some adults. But the cost benefit analysis is entirely different for adults and children – particularly younger children. Whatever arguments there may be for consenting adults – children should not be required to wear masks to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Of course, zero risk is not attainable – with or without masks, vaccines, therapeutics, distancing or anything else medicine may develop or government agencies may impose.

I occasionally see a child outside, playing alone, without friends, wearing a mask. It is sick. I occasionally see adults, driving in their car, alone, without friends, wearing a mask. It is sick.

There are adults that have not a clue, care nothing about freedom and liberty because they are scared. There are children being raised to be constantly afraid. They get it from their parents, TV, their leftist Zoom teachers, and every where they turn. They will never value freedom because they will not know what it is. They think it is being kind to others to be complaint with government edicts. They think I am the enemy because I want normal.

One of our adult sons and his adult son went fishing recently on the Carquinez Strait in his boat.

There seems to be strong winds 24/7, and they saw a couple of idiots wearing masks.
