A good lawyer would have advised her not to offer this. Why? Never voluntarily place yourself under the court’s or an agency’s authority. You will not ever get out of it. Make the bastards work to deny you of any rights. Put the burden of proof on them to show the need for any mental health evaluation. Such gestures will backfire. And make the situation much worse. At this point she should not cooperate with the FBI. Just get a dang good lawyer and document, document any contact with those wanting to put her husband under the courthouse.
