THE CCP BLAZES A TRAIL

The Red Chinese have been cracking down on freedom in Hong Kong for some time, in violation of the promises they made when Great Britain returned sovereignty to China. The CCP’s latest move is intended to permanently extinguish democracy in Hong Kong. The London Times reports:

China’s grip on the city tightened yesterday when its parliament unanimously approved new election rules that make it almost impossible for democracy activists to run for office.

I am not sure I knew that China has a parliament.

The National People’s Congress voted 2,895-0, with one abstention, for the changes that will give Beijing a veto on candidates deemed unpatriotic.

2,895 to 0! How’s that for unity? America’s Democrats must be jealous. More on how the CCP’s veto will work:

Beijing said the changes were necessary to return Hong Kong to its constitutional order after mass protests, and that patriots would be able to stand.

Hey, no problem: if you are certified as a “patriot” by the CCP, you can still run.

Zhang Xiaoming, from the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, said that the “chaos” of recent years showed that the city’s electoral system had “clear loopholes and shortcomings”.

Hong Kong was transferred to ChiCom administration in an international treaty with specific provisions.

ChiComs have breached the treaty and admit so.

ChiComs are illegally occupying Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is independent but occupied.

They are Communists. History has shown, again and again, that any statements, reassurances, or promises are worth absolutely nothing.

The interests of the Party override all, and if they decide to renege on a word or promise to serve the purposes of the Party, they will do so without a moment’s hesitation.

They helped install the unconstitutional, criminal regime in the whitehut.
They won’t stop the CCP from doing ANYTHING. The occupying regime owes them.

Are they all willing to die? That’s all that matters. The answer is no.

The way things are going in this country with the CCP buying influence and our corrupt politicians and major companies doing their bidding, it won’t be long before this is happening here. It is happening somewhat now with the loss of religious freedoms, free speech and just general freedoms we used to cherish and have. When the CCP does take over through our feckless politiians, all the democrats (snowflakes and media) aren’t going to know what hit them and they will be totally unable to accomodate it.
