Lawyers for former President Donald Trump sent a cease and desist letter to the Republican National Committee (RNC) over the weekend demanding that they stop using his name and likeness for fundraising efforts.
The letters were also sent to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).
This follows a report that Trump and his new campaign team are also cracking down on the use of the president’s name for fundraising
According to a scoop from Politico on Saturday, Trump wants the organizations to stop “using his name and likeness on fundraising emails and merchandise.”
On Monday the RNC responded and told Trump attorneys to stuff it — the Republican Party will continue to raise donations using Trump’s name!

Trump created his own PAC and wants donations directed there, so the money will go to candidates he endorses. If the money is given to the RNC, some of it might go to RINOs that Trump is trying to get primaried. This is just about him trying to get the financial reigns of power in his own hands. Hopefully, his supporters will understand this and give to his PAC and not the RNC. It doesn’t mean he’s not supporting Republicans; he just want to support the right sort of Republicans.
The RNC should use Pence to raise money. He’s much more their style.

Someone get the donor list from this POS GOP who gave to Trump 4 months ago, and use that as the official PAC list.

Easy. President Trump is remaining a Republican. President Trump is Targeting incumbent Republican RINO’s. The RNC wants to play both sides. Stay good with President Trump, use his name to raise money and use that money to protect the incumbent RINO’s President Trump is targeting.
President Trump has rightly decided it is far more advantageous to remain a Republican and weed out the RINO’s than to try to start a new party. The RNC is stating that he is a public figure and as such he doesn’t have the rights of a private citizen to exclusive use of his name and likeness.
The RNC is likely correct in this regard. I and a great many of my friends and family have unsubscribed to the RNC, NRCC, and NRSC. We are sending money exclusively to DonaldJTrump.com. Period. No PACS either just to President Trump. The RNC, NRCC and NRSC fear this.
If I didn’t know better..this almost looks like he’s keeping the door open for another run just in case.
