Cedric Richmond, a senior adviser to President Biden, says the administration is “going to start acting now” on reparations for African-Americans.
In an interview with Axios on HBO, Richmond reminded viewers that Biden continues to support House Resolution 40, a piece of legislation resubmitted last year by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) which would create a “reparations commission.”

He added, “We have to start breaking down systemic racism and barriers that have held people of color back, and especially African-Americans who were enslaved.”
“We’re going to start acting now,” Richmond said.

Richmond is the creep who remarked that a certain Trump adviser looked just about right on her knees. Now we know why he’s a biden adviser.
Just think, all those trillions spent on welfare since 1965. So much for the great society.
I thought having a 2 term black (ok, half black) POTUS was to end all this.
All these years of welfare should have taken care of reparations.
Desegregation was supposed to have put them on equal footing.
Non discriminatory hiring bumped out hiring the most qualified.
Didn’t we have a war to end slavery generations ago? Ok. Fine. Reparations to anyone who is a slave.
The left has to create more debt and poverty to maintain absolute control over this Republic.

Many years ago, Whoopie Goldberg said she’d visited Africa and was glad her ancestors were brought over here. To be sure, she’s changed her mind or tried hard to hide that comment after being on The View.
Europe should be the ones to pay it. They’re the ones that brought it over here. America fought two wars to end that business.

I need an attorney to sue for the family members that died fighting to free the slaves.
Payments should only come from the southern states that owned slaves.

Another attempt by the democrooks to bribe the black community into voting for them, just like LBJ said, they’ll have them voting for them for the next hundred years.
Perhaps it was both.
Doesn’t the $22 trillion spent since 1964 on the war on poverty count as reparations? What about Affirmative Action, minority set asides and probably dozens of other programs?
This is to secure the black vote in the mid-terms, 2022, and beyond.
Unfortunately, this isn’t going to play well with Latinos.
I wondered when someone would want the Southern states to pay. That would be as messy as having to determine who should get reparations. I am a Southerner. One quarter of my ancestors were not here during slavery. Some were from Tennessee and split, some fought for each side. Some were transported Scots(slaves). I know there were a few slaves involved but not many. What is “my” share to pay?
