It’s amazing how many here are willing to throw good Republicans under the bus. There is no one in the Democrat Party that’s worth a...dime.

Yes. There is nothing wrong with the Republican Party that can’t be fixed by getting rid of the RINOs.

Goya Jasmine Rice... Liz it costs a little more but it’s totally worth it...

https://www.allrecipes.com/article/how-to-cook-jasmine-rice/

From link:

How Long to Cook Jasmine Rice
How Long to Cook Jasmine Rice on the Stove

The traditional stovetop method might take more monitoring than fancy gadgets like a rice cooker or an electric pressure cooker, but there’s no denying it’s still the most intuitive method. Simmer jasmine rice on the stove until all the water is absorbed, or about 10 to 15 minutes. Afterwards, let the rice rest off heat for about 10 minutes.

Look what materialists you are going on and on about rice. Our brothers in the fields of Vietnam considered cold rice and a little rat meat a celebration of the cause. Your Jane Fonda came and inspired! Very soon our North Korean brother Kim will rain radioactive hell upon you running dogs of capitalism and then you’ll wish you had rice!

Wow. A couple months ago the Goya board members put a gag order on Onanue when it comes to supporting PDJT. Bold. I’m glad he did it.

We cook "regular" long grain rice using a suitable pot with a glass lid. Begin by adding 1 tsp of salt to 1-2/3rds cups of water. Let it come to a boil, then add 1 cup of rice. When the water returns to a boil, turn the heat down to a very slow boil.

In about 10-15 mins, the water will be below the rice. Allow it to continue to cook until you can no longer see the water bubbling through the rice. It will look like the water has all evaporated.

Turn on off the heat. Let it sit of a minute or two more with the lid on. Then fluff and serve. This produces the best tasting and best consistency rice in the shortest time, IMO.

You can also cook rice like spaghetti. Add 2 - 3 cups of water to the pot. Bring to a boil. Add about a teaspoon of salt, or less. Add a cup of rice and boil for 12-15 minutes. Occasionally test a kernel to achieve the desired softness. When done, pour through a fine strainer and serve.

If you prefer the grains of your rice to be better separated, after draining using the above method, return the rice to the pot, add a half teaspoon of olive oil or vegetable oil, add enough cold water to so that you can swish the rice around in the pot. Drain once more and serve.

This is the easiest method, but not the best tasting, IMO.

Some of the best rice cookers in the world are located in South Louisiana. Some of the worst, I've discovered, are Asian. Lol

The allrecipes method you listed works well too. The water/rice ratio is very important and varies a lot depending up the variety and type of rice, or if it was washed prior to cooking, etc. Even the pot you use has a bearing on the outcome.

If you want to get good at cooking rice, keep everything the same after you get it "dialed-in" and settle on a favorite method.

I've often wondered how to get that effect. That one's a keeper. Thanks so much for sharing amorphous.

You're welcome. I use this wash method all the time with pasta, especially with angel hair pasta.

Works for rice too, tho cooking rice like spaghetti isn't our preferred method. But it's not a bad method, and certainly the easiest, most goof proof method for cooking rice. :)

Sure. One final note: Rice can contain more arsenic than most other foods. The spaghetti method of cooking rice is better at removing the traces of arsenic rice may contain. :)
