Robert Unanue, the CEO of Goya Foods, spoke today at the CPAC Convention at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando. During his speech the Goya Foods CEO called out the fraud in the 2020 election and declared Trump president!

Unanae told the cheering pro-Trump CPAC crowd that Donald Trump is not only his president still, but also the “legitimate” president of the United States.

Via Raw Story:

Robert Unanue: “My biggest honor today is going to be that, I think, we’re going to be on the same stage as, in my opinion, the real, the legitimate, and the still actual president of the United States, Donald J. Trump… I received, I think as many people I know and maybe many of you, unsolicited ballots. So, I mean, as a citizen of the United States, I think I’m allowed to vote once. once — not twice.”

It’s not going to work. The Hispanic community is huge and they eat Goya.

I'm not hispanic and I eat Goya foods! Ever since he spoke out for President Trump before the election I've made it a point to buy Goya first. I'd never even considered them before that.

No Trump, no GOP. I will not just refuse to vote, I will vote Democrat. I want them to win with 98% of the vote, like Communists win.

His speech might get him canned:

Goya Foods has voted to silence its Trump-supporting CEO Robert Unanue after he told Fox Business the election was ‘unverified’

Goya CEO Robert Unanue now needs board permission to speak to the media, The New York Post and CNN reported.

Its board voted to silence him on Friday, two days after he told Fox Business the presidential election was “unverified,” the reports said.

Unanue confirmed to The Post that he would no longer speak publicly about politics, but declined to comment on any vote.

Robert Unanue, CEO of Latino food brand Goya Foods, will no longer be able to speak to the media without permission from the company’s board, after he peddled baseless claims of voter fraud on Fox Business.

Goya’s nine-person board voted to silence the CEO on Friday, sources close to the matter told both The New York Post and CNN. The ban covers discussion about both politics and the company itself, a person familiar with the board’s actions told CNN.

The majority of the company’s shareholders were in favor of completely removing Unanue, the source said, but weren’t able to because of the dynamics of the company, which has been owned by the same family for three generations.

Furthermore, since my post, there has been another development. The US Senate failed to impeach Trump from "Office." This creates even more grounds for Trump to claim office.

The legitimate president was removed by a planned, coordinated, and well-funded coup d'état against a duly elected president and the American people's wishes.

Had the Senate upheld the Congress, I would then concede defeat. Nothing now will ever make me submit to the imposter we've been cowered into accepting as legitimate.

Suit yourselves...and may your chains rest lightly...

I have suggested we back off and allow them to destroy themselves; however, it was pointed out to me, and I agree, we run a large risk the usurpers will destroy us all.

“If Trump is still the legitimate president, which I believe he is, grant pardons.“

I fully understand you believing Trump is the legitimate President - I feel the same way.

But he’s not the acting President and therefore can’t grant pardons.

You do understand that don’t you?
You do understand that he is not the one sitting in the Oval Office signing executive orders, flying around on Air Force One, and granting pardons, right?

Uh oh! I didn’t know that. We’ll have to wait and see what the Goya board does.

He doesn't need the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office to draw up the necessary documents, to sign them, to then hold up a "Pardon" for the cameras to capture his beautiful signature once again.

If such leaves those who claim to be on the right breathless and fainty, I imagine many on the left will drop dead from a heart attack!

Lol!

Anyway, it would be in keeping with Trump's audacious style we've come to admire. It would be a slap across the face of all those who put the country through an impeachment not once but twice.

Yeah, it might hurt his chances in '24, if such is even possible, considering everything.

“Nothing now will ever make me submit to the imposter we’ve been cowered into accepting as legitimate.”

Nobody is asking you to submit to anything.

I am all for fighting to change reality when I find it unacceptable. Change it? Yes. Deny it? No.

The enemies of Trump stole the election and now Biden is in the White House - that is the reality. You can fight to change that reality, but you can’t deny that reality.

If someone steals your car, it makes perfect sense to still consider yourself the legitimate owner - because you are the legitimate owner. And it makes perfect sense for you to fight to get your car back into our garage so you can drive it whenever you want.

But until you actually get it back into your possession, it would be delusional to imagine that your stolen car is still in your garage, and that you can still drive it whenever you want. That is how delusional it sounds when you say Trump should grant pardons.

First he has to get himself back into Office.

Goya seems to be the only company that sells navy beans. I’ve looked in several stores and the only navy beans they carry are Goya brand. If Goya supports Trump, then I will continue to buy their beans—which are excellent.

Ok, if you will admit it would be symbolic, I’ll admit I would enjoy seeing him do that.

I think FReepers who read your post thought you really believed it could be legally binding - not just an audacious symbolic gesture. That’s why they reacted the way they did. If you said it more like you did in the above quote, I think a lot of people would have agreed.

I think I saw a thread about it on FR at the time (end of January); not sure how much discussion it got.

I went digging a bit because I thought he spoke at the RNC last summer and found this. Now, it could be that Tim Murtahgh confused him with Maximo Alvarez and Unanue was never scheduled to speak. But Alvarez spoke on Monday during the ‘Land of Promise’ portion of the RNC convention.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/513761-goya-foods-ceo-wont-speak-at-third-night-of-gop-convention

A representative for Goya Foods says the company’s CEO Robert Unanue will not be speaking during the third evening of the Republican National Convention on Wednesday.

Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh had told reporters on a phone call Wednesday that Unanue would be among those making an appearance during Wednesday’s program, which is themed “Land of Heroes.”

However, Michael Estevez of Burson Cohn & Wolfe, a public relations firm representing Goya, subsequently told The Hill that Unanue would not be speaking at the RNC. The campaign did not respond to further questions about Unanue’s potential appearance during the program. Unanue was not named among the group of speakers issued by the campaign earlier Wednesday.

Another thing Trump is great at; making everyone wonder if he is serious or not.

Same in this case...let the lawyers figure out if it is only symbolic or not. Careful examination of the law is what they get paid to do. Why give it a second thought? How much thought did the Dems give to impeaching a president already out of office? Did they worry about setting a precedent? How many Dems even opposed such lunacy? Or questioned the truth behind the charges?

Just have plenty of paper bags ready for when the Dems hyperventilate!

One thing about dems, that even Trump recognized; they stick together. We turn on each other. I will never vote for another Republican. Period.

Time is running out. The dems built a fence around our government for a specific reason. They intend to keep it by whatever means necessary.

If God doesn't strike America down first, over our abominations, primarily abortion, we'll only get control of our government back by force.

Mark my words...you ain't seen nuttin yet.

Really? Even if that Republican is President Donald J. Trump?
