The animal kooks keep getting their way to the detriment of everybody who enjoys the outdoors without wanting to get attacked or eaten. Plus places like CA prevent you from arming yourself against apex predators who would love to devour you.You can always carry a weapon when is a wilderness area. Second point. By YOUR logic all apex predators must be killed? Why not kill all lions, tigers and bears oh my. Hell's fire elephants step on people, sh!t they gotta go too!!

Open carry of a side arm is illegal in Kalifornia unless you are hunting/fishing with a valid license and in season.
