Someone told me that Democrats would try to stuff a load of pork in to their Covid relief bill.
“That’s absurd!”, I proclaimed. I know, of course, that they only have our best intentions in mind as they craft their bill.
I can’t think of a better way to spend COVID relief funds, for instance, than giving federal employees 15 week vacations and $21,000 cash.
You might get a one-time stimulus check for $1,400. But our beloved federal workers with children are eligible to receive up to 15 weeks of paid leave at $1,400 per week.

What it shows is that we could eliminate 15/52 (roughly 30%) of the federal workers and nobody would be the wiser.
Can you say: Federal employee privilege?!
Indeed show up late and leave early 5 days a week kind of like congress but only 3 days a week.
Spot on
What Federal employee missed a paycheck because of COVID?
Ridiculous to pay federal employees extra.
Bribing/rewarding the deep state
PURE DISCRIMINATION.
wow
doubt this will make the nightly news
$35/hr
about 1 percent of the funding in this bill is for actual covid vaccine distribution, this is less funding than is allocated for the public relations campaign to get people to take the vaccine. Schools get another 100 billion on top of the 100 billion still not spent, (which the kids will never see as teachers are paid to stay home) and NY gets 50 billion of 350 billion to go to states (on top of the billions already received and still not spent).
When 1 percent of a 1.9 trillion bill is for covid, it’s not a covid relief bill. When municipalities and agencies and public relations firms get financial aid but taxpayers in Main Street America get paper tax credits instead, it’s not a covid relief bill.
This bill is a wishlist of things the young an foolish think their parents should pay for. Without stopping to realize, those parents will only be working a few more years, and then the debt will fall on their own shoulders.
