Comments from those who watched this shocking video:
"In Texas. Filled a saucepan with snow and heated on gas stove and snow sticking to outside and bottom of pan sparked a little and burned different colors. I was a little freaked out by that."
"We had the same kind of line “snowflakes” falling in central Texas the other day. Not sure what it was but I’ve never seen anything like it before..."
"Those snowflakes look like designer viruses."
"Here in Indiana we got weird "stick shaped" snowflakes! I took a video recording. Looked like material fibers! My Senior Mother commented, never seen snowflakes like this!"
"I'm in Oregon. I scooped up a cup of this wks snow, set it on a gas furnace heat register, it took 2 &1/2 hrs to melt and didn't melt with the lighter test. The snow DOES go away quickly with rain however. 100% artificial ice nucleation."
"When I tried to clean my windshield they smeared like cake frosting."
Ping!
thanks
What is the purpose of this thread and video?
I have never in 60 years seen an “ice storm” like we had that lasted several days. Trees caked with several inches of very hard, thick ice. This took forever to melt and turned into cubes of ice first. Trees that made it through a hundred or more years of weather all gone. Animals caked with ice.
The CCP has been experimenting with “weather control” for years.
Now watch them blame the destruction on f’ing climate change.
I’ve never seen snow stick to roofs (especially, here in SE TX) like this snow has.
I just commented about this, to hubs, a few days ago.
We had patched in our flower beds that STILL haven’t completely melted, and, we got into low-mid 70º, today.
The crazy is getting deep on FR.
We have had a few ice storms here in New Hampshire, and lost many trees from the worst of them.
What’s the frequency, Kenneth?
I was going to post it as news in that the Texas event, with it’s unusual “snow” ( video shows man scooping up snow from outside , puts it into his microwave oven to melt and it starts shooting sparks every which way when the microwave oven is turn on. ) I thought it news worthy because they say this weather pattern was definitely planned with airplanes covering large areas at night for hours, a couple of weeks ago.
Since I only had comments from the Texan viewers who were testifying about their experience with this “weird” snow I felt I had to post in Bloggers and Personal.
It appears we have lost control over who is controlling what is happening in nature and to us everyday as citizens and communities. This wasn’t some freak snow storm and freeze that gripped Texas, especially with this freaky type of snow with its heavy metals content , coloring, and shape. It is alarming to me because who knows how it is poisoning the ground and our water for animals and future growing seasons. Many viewers were alarmed that children like to “eat” snow, and this snow may be deadly to them.
Probably China playing with our weather.
I went through an arctic blast in Europe Christmas week 1996. Sub zero for a week. The river Through Prague was frozen.
I’ve been through a 2 week ice storm in Long Island 1979. No power. I’ll never live in a house with no fireplace or wood stove. Have a gas oven. I have varying energy sources in case any break down. And no to the electric car electric everything. Hate not having a landline phone. Kept the house at 60. My sister tells me that was what it was growing up. I don’t remember
But this thing we went through last week it was a polar vortex. It was cold with precipitation. A bad mix. And in Texas where the homes and the living are not built for it.
It snowed all day the Last day -Thursday -it froze that night. By 9 am Friday it was 30 and sunny. the driveway was navigable with the snow wet. And it was over
The snowflakes were large
There are dead trees. Yes 100 year old trees this was a once in a 150 year storm
Does that mean Simon bar Sinister was manning the weather machine. Maybe not. That’s for sure.
Just get a heat source. Medical supplies. Water. Fill the tubs. Have plenty of fuel. Get some freeze dried food. A water filter and download some comedy. Our fave was Conan interviews Dana Carvey
It’s because below those surfaces froze. You don’t have a week of sub 20 without everything freezing. If the sun doesn’t hit the surface directly it will take time.
We had power, thanks to our generator.
We brought out the VHS player and old VHS tapes from our own Disney vault! Had to think a sec to remember how to fast forward :-)
Old Disney is the best. Snow White, Robin Hood, sword in stone.
Schumer: “The bottom line is, Texas thought it could go it alone and built a system that ignored climate change . . . It was not what’s called resilient, and now Texas is paying the price . . . I hope they learned a lesson.”
Yep.
Bambi
Anything 40s - 60s....and a few after that :-)
I have never in 60 years seen an “ice storm” like we had that lasted several days.
What part of Texas are hiding in? I remember 3 times in a row when the DFW Metroplex got snow. Once was Christmas eve of 2009 i thinkwhen we got 3” to 4” of snow. The other 2 times were ironically in Feb. one around Valentines day in 2010 when we got 8” of snow and the next year right after groundhog day when we got 4” When the 2010 storm dumped i got my ice cooler out and built an igloo in the front yard .
