"Talent on Loan from God"
Tonight that Talent is returned to its Lender.
Rush Limbaugh has died at the age of 70. His wife Kathryn making the announcement at the beginning of the "Rush Limbaugh Show" today.
Rush had indicated that his lung cancer condition was terminal in recent months.
Rush broke the media mold and created a whole new kind of media reflected in various talk show personalities...

Well, since you’re ‘Nextrush’, it must be your turn. Has EIB called you yet?
A way, a life, a legend.
“Well, since you’re ‘Nextrush’, it must be your turn. Has EIB called you yet?”
LOL. More importantly, has God Almighty loaned him even a tiny fraction of Rush Limbaugh’s talent. I’ve always thought it was more than a bit presumptuous for whoever this is to take this monicker.
Now that Rush has gone to his maker I find it totally inappropriate and downright disrespectful.
I haven’t “gotten the call” yet I not really inside “the family” of talk radio.
I am media trained and experienced and certainly have the ability to be outspoken.
Rushisms like:
“across the fruited plain”
“the most fun you can have with your clothes on”
I could shout out with passion.
I’m sober enough now to listen and respond to callers in a positive way.
“my formerly nicotine stained fingers”
wow I would have my own unique way of saying it given the chance.
I believe in myself and have been at the microphone, been in religious and mainstream media and have spoken publicly in the context of politics. I can get the audience with that passion.
When I worked in the MSM in 1990 my conservative opinions shook the place up and my joke cracking got someone back then to say:
“You’re like Rush Limbaugh”.
I got something whether its good enough to fill those big shoes I do not know, but I have something to offer and it comes out on my blog every day in the Walter Cronkite style or the more Rush-like “Unplugged” style every Saturday.
I had a radio show for three years. Wasn’t a talk show, it was a jazz show.
Or something to that effect.
When I worked in the MSM in 1990 my conservative opinions shook the place up and my joke cracking got someone back then to say: “You’re like Rush Limbaugh”.
This is your justification? Really? Do you not realize how utterly pathetic you sound? This lame reasoning only further cements in my mind the fact that you, a nobody, (in relative terms) no one has ever heard of has the temerity to take such a moniker. Even more so now that Rush Limbaugh has died.
I did most of my mike work in religious broadcasting in a limited context commercials, religious news but did do news in a big city as a college student full power all over the city and beyond.
I also recorded political ads over the years in these parts.
My MSM work was more behind the scenes writing, editing supervising the coverage.
“truth-detector” was the phrase old Slick Willie used I had an offer from one of my profs at the university to go to Little Rock when I graduated in 1982 to be a reporter.
What a journey that could have been?
What Rush did was keep the park open and free from bullies for three hours a day during the week. Someone working that hard can't cover everything.
So there.
Maybe it’s a good thing you didn’t go there. You may have found yourself on the wrong side of Hillary.
A Vince Foster before Vince Foster?
Maybe.
Here is Rush’s “60 Minutes” interview in 1991. You can see his audience and how much they resemble all the MAGA people at Trump’s rallies:

You should be ashamed for appropriating Rush’s name, especially now.
But you’ve proven to be tone deaf and clueless, so why not post your garbage on the day of his death and remove all doubt.
Get a job,
