Still wonder if the police and military would turn on the American people? In nazi Germany, Gestapo was merely an update of existing secret police. Local officers did nazi business dutifully. The leader of the raid that arrested Anna Frank and her family was a pre-war normal cop.
NKVD was merely the latest incarnation of the Czar’s secret police.
The FBI/Military/and local police are rapidly showing the same pattern.
