I don't think it's just "a little snow". Joe Bastardi said if this winter storm was a hurricane it would be a Cat5.

No power from the green sources.
They never pull their share.

More broken promises. They should be required to offset the spike in peoples’ electric bills today.

This is well beyond “ a little snow”.

I’ve lived in texas and louisiana most of my 65 years, have never, ever seen snow twice in one year, and never the low temps we seeing now.

We can almost always expect something in the low 20’s a night or two most years, a little thin ice on the steps once or twice, nothing like this.

Yesterday at daylight, 11 degrees at my back door, high for the day 14. Lowest I ever saw was 12 about 30 years ago, and back to normal in the 40’s that afternoon. This morning the low was 2 at daylight, 8 now at 11AM. Power has been off 30 hours now.

I’m charging my phone in the car, idling in the driveway, a half inch of ice on the road so I can’t even drive the local neighborhood and get a few pictures. Another first. Normally a little thin ice till 2 hours after daylight at worst.

This is the 3rd day for this ice and low thursday is looking like 14, nothing above 33 till then. Literally all time record breakkng freeze as far as I can tell. Article a few days ago said in 1989 we had a serious cold front, that would be the one that I mentioned above, 12 degrees. Gone in a day. 20 years ago roads north of us frozen over, my father couldn’t go home for a week but not that bad here. Everything 50 miles north of us closed though. Still not as bad as this.

Nope, I’m in the big middle of it, this is _not_ just a little snow.
