thats the whole point. it takes time to judge visually what a single car is doing. signal lighting gives quick relevant clues to look for. Your mind is quite capable of using the information to great effect. Honest
Honest, I have driven against tens of drivers without brake lights, all going over 190 mph and never had a crash..... so it can be done! It’s called driver training.
