Until fairly recently I thought the usual timeline in the US was that as citizens got older they gradually developed *more* respect and trust for our "leaders" and "public servants".

Yet in recent years I find that my respect and trust has dropped to just about zero.

I weep for this country...and I pray that I'll have reason to stop weeping before I pass on to whatever judgment God has in mind for me.
