IRONIC: Reuters Frets Dem Cities Drastically Underestimating Their Carbon Emissions

It’s ironic when the liberal media uses the left’s own faulty climate change metrics to complain about liberal cities' carbon emissions.

Reuters whined in a new report that “U.S. cities are underestimating their carbon dioxide emissions by an average of 18%, according to a study released on Tuesday, potentially hindering their efforts to craft effective policies to combat climate change.” But the kicker is that the big outliers Reuters claimed were underestimating their emissions were all Democrat-run cities: “Big outliers included Los Angeles, whose self-reported emissions were roughly 50% below the Vulcan readings, along with Chicago and New York, both undershooting by around 20%.”

Reuters seemed to suggest that by eco-extremist metrics, all three cities have failed by undershooting on their greenhouse gas emission estimates.

Dr Doofenshmirtz had the biggest carbon foot, therefore the biggest carbon footprint.

Did they include the CO2 released by burning the cities in a mostly peaceful manner?

The zip code with the highest CO2 emissions per person in the entire United State is located in — ta da — radical, crunchy, far-far-left, Boulder Colorado.

If leftists would stop exhaling their own CO2, the world would be a better place.

Because all economic activity consumes energy, prices end up being directly proportional to total energy consumption, and indirectly pollution. GDP and energy consumption are measures of the exact same thing, with energy consumption being the more honest of the two. A quick way to judge the green difference of two things is to simply compare their prices.

City living is more expensive than exburb living because cities use more energy and create more pollution to accomplish the same thing. The city heat island effect is well known and is caused by massive energy consumption, which dissipates as heat.

The biggest pollution generator of all is government, and with the least bang for the buck to show for it. If you want to efficiently reduce pollution, reduce the size of government.

There is another thread that says that cleaner air causes warming. Pretty confusing! It’s almost as if we can’t do anything right.

To drive or not to drive? That is the question (on researchers’ minds who can’t get their stories straight).
