Possibly they both lost faith in America while having to fight their countrymen. To immediately suicide after the “tussle” at the Capitol makes me think they thought their efforts are now useless. Or maybe just part of the above stated statistics of LEO’s getting nowhere and having a large suicide rate.

Was it actually suicide? Or did they see something they were not supposed to see?

After watching what all went on through the summer in several cities and how it was reported, then see the way Jan 6th was reported, you realize that we are in deep trouble in our country....

I remember a “suicide” way back in the early 1960s during the Billy Sol Estes trial. The witness committed “suicide” by shooting himself five times in the stomach with a .22 rifle.

When it was demonstrated to the press as to how he did it,
no one believed it was suicide.

One wonders what these two officers were thinking that drove them to suicide. I'm not jumping to any conspiracy theories without evidence, but I'm trying to think of the possible reasons:

1. Shame at having failed your duty and allowed the rioters to breach the building, creating a national scandal?

2. Anger and despair over all the hate directed at police, coupled with #1?

3. Anger at one's superiors for having left you completely unprepared for such a huge crowd?

4. Personal issues having nothing to do with the riot, or perhaps exacerbated by it?

5. You knew too much, and it broke you?

6. You knew too much, and were murdered?

Notice that "they knew too much" is actually on a relatively short list of possibilities. Still, I'm leaning to #1, #2, or #4.

Maybe they didn’t like being told to hold the doors open for Antifa thugs and then to shut up about it? Just a guess on my part. Maybe they had consciences and integrity.

The falsely named Capitol riots were an inside job.

Democrat operatives dressed in Trump gear were the main perpetrators. Some Trump supporters were useful idiots. There are over 2000 Capitol Police officers. This was more than enough to prevent any actual riot.

Capitol Police let Democrat operatives in before Trump even finished speaking. These people were not at the Trump speech.. The operatives had maps of the Capitol and other inside information.

Now members of the Capitol Police are found dead from supposed โ€œsuicidesโ€. These Capitol Police were likely killed to keep them from talking about what really happened.

Snarky comments aside, suicide is the leading cause of death for police officers in this country.

Thank you for that. My dad was a cop and he had two friends that died by suicide. Later in his life, he was going through depression and we worried about him too. To a cop, suicide is an acceptable, maybe preferred way out.

It is possible that both of these cases in DC were because of honor. They believed in one form of America and another was forced on them in their line of duty which was such a strong conflict, they chose suicide.

Sounds perfectly logical, to me.

Sad, but, the truth.

Could very well be, or, as another poster said....honor....for knowing what they witnessed was NOT right.

Scary and sad, either way.

All the cops I knew growing up were very straightforward and good men and they did believe in the superman motto, they served for the American way.

It is disgusting to me that so many posters on this thread have bought into what they have been fed by the media rather than what they would know if they cared to ask.

“Battle”? I know one or two police officers were beaten up and I condemn that, but it was hardly a battle.

How many Capitol Hill cops committed suicide before January 6?

It is almost certain that these officers DID NOT commit suicide.

They were murdered to keep them from reporting what really happened.

They were also killed to send a message to other Capitol Police Officers. Stick to the dishonest official story. Anyone who tells the truth will not be around long.
