Unverified rumors Donald Trump could be about to launch a new political party has been growing since he promised a comeback as he left the White House.
While the former president has not announced any such plan, many of his supporters have championed the idea of a new so-called “Patriot Party.”
George Papadopoulos has said on Twitter that the “Patriot Party will be a viable third party,” Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs has suggested the name has a “great ring to it,” while far-right social media personalities such as Lin Wood have circulated logos featuring a lion for a party of that name.
The left-wing media decided to report the Patriot Party is already a registered trademark and one which is not held under the name Donald Trump.
Analysis of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office shows that rights to the name are held by another Florida-based individual named Donald: Donald Magyar.
Rights for the name were again held for “membership in a political party” from 2007 until 2017, when the registration was canceled due to an “unacceptable” filing, World Trademark Review (WTR) magazine reports.
But what the mainstream media didn’t report is the fact that the new party is registered as “Patriot Party” a screenshot from the Federal Election Commission below shows that the new party was filed on January 22th:
We’ve confirmed the filing is correct by going direct to the FEC website here: https://docquery.fec.gov/cgi-bin/forms/C00767095/1489852
While searching through the Federal Election Commission site we found another Patriot party that was filed today called “Maga Patriot Party.” Was this party created because of the trademark issues we still can’t confirm, but the “MAGA Patriot Party” is real.

The Daily Mail insists Trump is making the move to protect him during impeachment.
The Palmieri Report and The Daily Mail:
Donald Trump is reportedly moving forward with his plans to create a ‘Patriot Party’ to put pressure on Republicans who oppose him and attempt to head off conviction in his second Senate impeachment trial.
Trump has told people that the third-party threat gives him leverage to prevent Republican senators from voting to convict him during the Senate trial next month, people in his orbit told the Washington Post.
Since President Joe Biden took office, Trump has been ensconced at Mar-a-Lago, remaining publicly cryptic about his plans except to tell a reporter on Friday: ‘We’ll do something, but not just yet.’
But behind closed doors, Trump is already drafting an enemies list of Republicans who opposed his baseless claims of election fraud, instructing aids to prepare primary challenges against them, sources told the Post.
Will Trump supporters join this new party?

I'll bet this wheeler-dealer could get enough billionaires to kick in.
i hope the lion’s mane looks like trumps hair.
i will join and might even run on that party for senate in 2027 after i retire.
Why all this talk of “primarying” and forming a new Patriot Party if people’s votes will just be flipped by the corrupt voting machines and software?
FIRST prove elections will be free and fair. Otherwise, it is not only a waste of people’s time, but a clever way to distract people from the elephant in the room.
I’ll be signing up! I left the Republican Party last month after being a Registered Rep since 1988! Go riddance.....looking forward towards the future and not the GOP from the past!
Why bother, because won’t they just flip the votes from Republican AND any new party... to the Dem party?
Until that corruption is gone, I don’t see the point of voting at all....with the exception of Florida for local and state elections. DeSantis did a beautiful cleanup job.
This is a strategic mistake, no matter how good it feels.
1912 election. TR’s Bull Moose Party split votes with (Deep State) Taft. Combined, they trounced Wilson in the popular vote, but because they split the votes, Wilson won 40 of 48 states.
We got the Fed, direct election of Senators and the Income Tax as a result. Not exactly what either TR or Taft would have wanted...but that’s what TR’s ego and Taft’s stubbornness got for ALL of us, nearly a century after they died.
Donald Trump should NOT make the same mistake. Take over the GOP - it doesn’t feel quite so good, and its a lot of hard work over several election cycles, but it is the only thing that will prevent the Dems from having a MASSIVE victory and claiming that it is a mandate to do ANYTHING to us that they want.
Don’t let the little head think for the bit one!
OMG split the votes, you mean the votes of the GOP elite traitors to our nation you mean the votes of the GOP selling our country to China!!! THOSE VOTES?. The votes of the BASTARDS that have sat by and HELPED our nation fall into the abyss??? OMG spiit the vote LOL, LOL, LOL, LMAO!!!
.............................................
You have it EXACTLY right! I laugh in disgust at the fools who think clinging to the coattails of the Grand Old Party of backstabbing traitors and ‘rats masquerading as conservative Republicans is the way to make America Great Again! Damned morons!
Forget the GOP, they are the Whig party.
Just stop being stupid and voting for betrayal.
There is no split vote if you stop being stupid and voting for betrayal.

Precisely so! Seems like the operative term, probably introduced by the RINO cabal is “BE CAREFUL, BE CAREFUL, BE CAREFUL!” Bullsh*t!

I too have left the GOP and it’s a one-way, no return ticket. I first climbed aboard for Barry Goldwater, but now I’m done with the basta*ds for good!
lol. Your a riot. 1992 ring a bell????? Of course you were head cheerleader as you are now.
There has NEVER been a third party with this kind of support,
**************
3rd party needs to be able to garner enough electoral college votes to
win. IMO they can’t do that. Now they can win some local races and
maybe a statewide race or two but not national. As long as the EC
exist it will be a two party option to win. JMO
Not instantly it took two cycles to kill off the Whigs.
The GOP fluffers on Free Republic make me want to puke.
You’ve Karl Rove’s jism running down your checks...
I’m sure. You keep up your dumb thinking. You have totally screwed us. You have caused more damage then democrats could dream. Everything that happens the next two years are solely on you!!!
Tell me is Karl the top or the bottom?
I think there are two important questions with a replacement party (I think this is a more accurate description in this case than “third party”): First, how many establishment, never-Trump types are really out there, and how many of them perhaps voted for Democrats last time anyway, and second, how much of a funding hit would an alternative party take. Would we lose significant large donors? (We know that we have the grassroots donors sewn up already)
I have to answer the voter question by saying that I think almost all, if not all of the Trump base would move with him to a new party, no question. Then you have to ask how many non-Trump-supporting Republican voters would be lost, and I have to believe that number would be minuscule. Most of those people didn’t vote for Trump anyway, so no big loss, and I think their numbers are tiny. Plus, we know that Trump has already added significant numbers of traditional Democrat voters to his ranks, and given the in-your-face display of outright tyranny by the new Democrat majority, I believe that number will grow substantially. Those new additions to the MAGA tent are certain to greatly outweigh any RINO losses.
And where would the establishment, never-Trump, RINOs go if Trump did form his own party? Would they really continue to vote Republican if that party was a tiny fraction of its former size and had zero chance of winning? Or, would they finally just admit who they really are and vote Democrat? A few might stubbornly do the former, and a likely larger group would do the latter, but either way their numbers are almost certainly too small to matter.
I still agree that formation of a new party is probably the riskier path, but like everything Trump, we are in uncharted territory. At least in our lifetimes, there has not been such a large, highly-motivated base eager to abandon their former party. I’m not sure the conventional wisdom about “third parties” necessarily applies here.
Coming from a person whose state is completely blue due to your nonsense, this is rich. I’m in a state that completely went for trump. Added house seats. Have the state government. And you want to counsil me on how to win? Ha! Your a stupid hoot. Work on you state you old fool. Florida is doing great. Oh mail ins have been around a decade and since then we’ve won all statewide but one agricultural. You idiotic state has nothing!!!!!
Wait until about 20 Republican Senators turn on Trump and convict him in this sham impeachment. Then we can discuss a new party, right? I will happily rub this your face.
Good luck. Lol. Can’t wait until you get a Republican Senator in your pathetic state. Oh I absolutely laugh at how stupidly snug you are. You are so hoping the United States ends up like Virginia. You are a disaster. We are better off without you.
