Exactly, zero % of patients died from having the COVID-19 virus in their systems (as evidenced by the thousands and thousands of asymptomatic people out there that had COVID-19)...COVID-19 kills by the "comorbidities" or as you say "derivative" symptoms/conditions such as viral pneumonia, ARDS, cardiac arrest, renal failure, multiple organ failure due to low O2 levels, etc, etc.. Same thing happens with cancer...carcinoma rarely listed on the "top line" of the death certificate.
