Mini gun.

No, I kid.

Never use a weapon for home defense that takes out walls.

A coach gun would do the trick.

Mossberg 590 12 Gauge Tactical Pump-Action Shotgun The Mossberg 590 12 Gauge Pump-action Tactical Shotgun is the standard for tactical shotgun excellence. Owned one since 2010 … Marines used them with great success in Fallujah. Trust my alma mater when it comes to practical effective weapons.

you might as well have a toilet brush for self defense

Will I have to worry about jamming?

Axing for a friend 'n that.

Why has there been such an increase in the popularity of silencers in the last few years? Personally, I couldn’t care less but there is flurry over them nevertheless.

Yeah, but moving from the bedroom to the living room might be a problem, unless you like remodeling.

I’d prefer a shotgun with lots of pellets. Or else I’d have to tell the intruder to “hold still a sec, wouldcha?”.

My partner bought me a little pistol that my weak arthritic hands can operate.

I’d still prefer a shotgun.

Helps with position concealment I would imagine. If THEY dont know where YOU are it would be an advantage wouldn’t you say?

Do they make suppressors for shotguns?

Having said that, we are locked and loaded in every room, and bathroom, with additional ammo for the siege. It’s nothing to see a handgun sitting on the desk these days.

Thinking of living in it...

Honestly, how do we defend ourselves against a totalitarian government?

Have you looked into the S&W “EZ” line of pistols? Your situation is exactly who they are designed for.

Probably a Taurus Judge loaded with .410 bird shot or a self defense round. Even a 9mm will penetrate the house across the street but a .410 load of shot should lose enough velocity that it will likely keep the neighbors safe. Close range it will still deliver heavy punch albeit with a bit snappy recoil.
