No sane businessman will ever hire teens, much less “teens”

“... disproportionately harm African Americans and women.”

Women and minorities hardest hit! Drink.

“Minimum wage” should be exactly what it says...

The lowest wage that will be accepted by the worker for a job...

Some businesses will actually thrive.

There's a whole new caravan of illegals on the way, and the wall is coming down. You work them off the books in cash, of course. $15/hr? Nah, not quite. They'll be catch-and-release dodging asylum hearings, you think they'll complain?

Reminds me of a cartoon that I drew and was posted by Pookie. It shows Uncle Sam dragging a ball and chain and the ball is labeled as “Slavery”.

I think I’ll redraw it with the ball labeled as “$15/hour minimum wage”.

The folly of a minimum wage becomes apparent when you ask a Liberal: "Why did you stop at $15/hr. Clearly, if that's a good thing, why not set the minimum wage at $1500/hr. If $15/hr is good, surely $1500/hr would be a hundred times better!"

Idiots...

“No sane businessman will ever hire teens, much less “teens”.”

Teens working part-time, after-school jobs was the standard when I was a teen. Half of the kids with whom I attended high school had such jobs; that’s how we (1) made our own money for college, cars, dates, beer; (2) developed responsibility; (3) started to become productive members of society. Back in those days if we wanted something above and beyond room and board, our parents said, “Earn it.” Oh, how times have changed.

The Rats just don’t get it. You pay an employee for what the job is worth to the company, none of govt business.

The real minimum wage is ZERO $. No work no pay. Minimum wage is dollars related to how much you produce in goods or services. At 15 dollars per hour stand by for an onslaught of computer/droid types of operations. Check-out, baggers fast foodies etc. You saw it happen at the fuel pumps. Watch it happen again. More of the prols dependent on the governments so called “Stimulus”. Its the master who pays and the slave who takes the money. The plantation awaits.

Disproportionately harm African Americans and women.

That’s the plan the plantation is now open.

Jim Crow Joe and his Camel Toe Ho want all the African Americans that DJT helped employ back on the government plantation dole.

The poverty level for a household of four is around $26,200.

This means that a raw $15 x 2,080s a year = $31,200 (which is not the full expense when you include Payroll Taxes and insurance).

So based on the democrat understanding that no one should work 40 hours and remain in poverty will be realized.

So, does this mean that there will no longer be food stamps or subsidies?

And of course, there will be no inflation.

I wonder if they will increase the tax base for people paid for $31,200?

At this point we are dealing with infantile employees, moron employers, and a ridiculous government.

Logically $15 should find strong support in this forum. After all the reason to ban imports is to drive up domestic wages.

Most people cannot grasp the idea that certain products and jobs do not exist if prices are too high. One freeper explained to me that businesses simply redeploy their assets to higher profit products and service when faced with the higher costs caused by tariffs. I’m sure the same logic plays out for minimum wage.

A minimum wage is simply a tariff on labor.

The really great news is that it should help kill economic based immigration. No coming here and working cheap. Now they will come here and not work at all. So a double win. Keep out the scrappy hard working illegals and replace them with the welfare dependent ones.

I think what is critically important is that this conversation / debate has to be held 3417 times. With the same result every time. However, we better go with the science. You know, the consensus.

Without a commensurate increase on productivity, which doesn’t occur, an increase in the minimum wage is just a job killer.

This is unconstitutional. This changes government budgets and spending. All money bills must originate in the House.
