"The Work Begins" Draws Communist Flies
YouTube ^ | 1/22/21 | Noumenon

I took a look at the fatuous "The Work Begins" propaganda piece published on YouTube by the Biden regime. The comments in general are hilarious and decidedly not in Biden's favor. However...

We have a committed, dyed in the wool apologist for communist slaughter and atrocities in the person of one 'Ed Peck' who airily dismisses the jaw-dropping death toll performed by totalitarian collectivists over the last century or so. Here's a partial account of the response-reply thread:

Replying to @Ed Peck
I'm having trouble hearing you over the groans of the ghosts of the hundreds of millions slaughtered in the name of your leftist ideals.

@Ed Peck replies:
lmao 'muh Black Book of Communism'

Replying to @Ed Peck
So none of that happened, you dumb fuck? Really? No Cambodian killing fields? No Gulags? No Chinese hungry ghosts? Oh. well, soon it'll be back to killing communists and killing them first again.

@Ed Peck replies:
No, there have absolutely been famines under Marxist (not communist, but that's a different story) govts. Both China and Russia have had cycles of famine for millennia, especially China where millions died every few years in famines and floods. The PRC and USSR ended those cycles of famine, despite also being attacked by massive colonial powers and fighting some of the largest civil wars ever (in Russia's case, they had WW1, then the Russian Civil War in which every colonial power in the world invaded them at once, and then WW2, the largest war ever; and in China's case, the Chinese Civil War and Japanese invasions were also huge)....

Yes, it's very sad that they weren't able to immediately end all hunger the moment they took power.... but what they did achieve, ending natural disasters that have plagued those large countries forever, is staggering.

As for Cambodia, they were installed, maintained and armed by the USA in order to oppose the Soviet Union (and that's not even considering the role the USA had in destroying Cambodia in the first place by bombing the shit out of it), and even after the Khmer Rouge were overthrown and the genocided ended, by Vietnamese Marxists by the way, the US ensured that the Khmer Rouge held Cambodia's UN seat right up until the mid-90s. Blaming 'communism' for the Cambodian genocide is just absurd, when it was entirely the result of capitalist imperialism and was ended by communists.

And yes, the Black Book of Communism is a straight-up lie, and its authors admitted as such, from counting victims of the Nazis, and Nazis killed by USSR in WW2, to using incredibly dubious and dishonest tactics like counting people who were not even conceived but who 'would have been born' had wars and famines not happened as 'victims of communism'..... no demographer or historian actually considers it to be a legitimate work of historical rigour. It's govt-sponsored propaganda.

I'll note here that it seems evident that Mr. Peck is not a US citizen. But I do think that he merits a pile-on by those of us who despise the evils and the horrendous crimes of communism. The ignorance and arrogance on offer here is simply staggering. Much along the lines of the infamous late Marxist historian Eric Hobsbawm who in similar fashion shrugged off the slaughter of literally millions of human beings if it served to bring about the communist utopia that he championed.

This guy is a Leftist atrocity denier. If many think like him, we’ll all be dead in a few years.

Maybe send him a copy of the original 3-volume edition of Gulag Archipelago.

Or perhaps just a brief writeup on the Night of the Long Knives.

My grandfather ran from Russia (now southern Ukraine) in 1923, right after the Revolution ended, but before the Communists had really firm control over everything. He had one brother here in the US, with his parents and many siblings left in Russia.

His father had done back-breaking work for 45 years before that, to build up a water delivery business and then, with some of the profits, building (literally with his own hands and those of his older sons) 14 houses to rent out. The Communist bastards took all of it, save his home.

Fast forward to 1936 - there was a (Stalin-engineered) famine that killed millions. My GGF was 73 and sick with throat cancer. To feed himself, his wife and several other family members living in the house, he needed money (yes, even in the USSR under Stalin, money talked and bullshit walked). Being old and sick, he couldn’t work; his retirement income and assets had been stripped from him. So his only choice was to rent out 3/4 of the house to other families to avoid starvation. Someone, somehow, found out and the NKVD came and dragged him away to prison. A few weeks later, they let him out, much the worse for wear. He recovered for a couple of months and then, for inexplicable reasons, in early 1937 they dragged him away again. This time they beat him so badly that they knew he was going to die; one day there was a knock on the door, my GGM opened it and they literally threw him into the house. He had been beaten so badly that he couldn’t even string words together and didn’t recognize anyone. He died a couple of hours later.

My grandfather knew that his father was sick, and when he got the letter that he had died from the family, he was obviously very sad but assumed that he had simply succumbed to an illness after living to 74. It wasn’t until 1969, when he went back to Russia to visit what was left of his family, that he found out the truth. I was a kid at the time, and when he came back and visited us to let my father know about the trip, I remember him crying like a baby. I was very upset, because I’d never seen that, and in my mind he was an incredibly tough man. I, myself, did not know the full truth until about a year ago.

The rest of my grandfather’s family was effectively imprisoned in the world’s largest open air prison (A.K.A. the USSR) for 3 generations. Several of my father’s first cousins got out (and my grandfather’s youngest brother, then in his late ‘80s) in the mid-’90s. I asked many questions about their lives over the decades, and learned an awful lot about what it was like to live under Communism.

This Ed Peck motherphucker can come to my house if he’d like, and try telling me that the Black Book of Communism (which I have) is a bunch of lies. He won’t like the results, that I promise God Himself. He wouldn’t leave my house in my better shape than my great grandfather was in when he was unceremoniously thrown into his house back in 1937. To say that I have a deep, seething, white-hot hatred of Communism and Communists is the understatement of the millenium.

People like Peck want to bring a “Workers Paradise” to these shores? Well, I’ll just follow General Patton’s advice: “No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country.” I don’t intend for us to lose this war - and be assured, that’s EXACTLY what we’ve got on our hands here. These Leftists/Communists have such a mental sickness that they simply cannot be satisfied until they control literally every person on the planet. Well, they’re going to have a fight on their hands, because there are at least 100 million well-armed people in this country who simply will not put up with that. We’ve seen enough concentration camps and gulags over the past 100 years to understand what is at stake.

Great post. Glad you made it here before the republic fell. However, the fight to regain the Republic has just begun.

There are millions of “Ed Pecks” among us now...
Many of them elected to high political office...

Just put the name on the list and, probably before this year is out, use it whenever & wherever necessary...

“Glad you made it here before the republic fell.”

Oh, I’ve been here for my whole life, so were both of my parents. I’m certainly glad that their parents came here, of course - my family either suffered in Russia under Communism, or were massacred in Poland by the Nazis.

“However, the fight to regain the Republic has just begun.”

Let’s hope so, let’s pray that we don’t just roll over for these power-hungry charlatans.
