Dershowitz - who I trust in these matters - says the impeachment is unconstitutional on several grounds. Trump’s lawyers should make that case to the Supreme Court. The Republicans should just refuse to show up.
I just heard Ken Starr say the same thing. He indicated that John Roberts should know better and not agree to the trial.
They should file in federal court right now on that point and force Roberts to recuse himself.
WTF would they do then?
