Are “hundreds” out of 30,000 a significant statistic? NO
Shhhh,
It doesn’t matter.
As long as the left looks bad.
Tell the families of the NG soldiers affected. I'm sure they'll have a hearty laugh with you over the matter.
First wave, no. By next Wednesday, probably another 2k by that point. Too late to rush them for the vaccinations. Might see 10k by mid February.
actually, yes.
The NG ranks include inactive military, business owners/key personnel or civilian first responders mixed with those young’uns putting their toes in the water to test if they can adapt to military life. These are troops that can’t travel until they test negative and so have to be quarantined up to 14 days. What are the added costs of billiting? Or the TDY out-of-pocket costs the military doesn’t cover? Some of them will need medical care - which the VA will have to provide being they’re on active duty. Can Walter Reid take 100 or more critical care cases at one time? And that cost? As their families wait, in some cases, thousands of miles away. At least a percentage who may never see their loved one again. What is the impact on those families? Or the businesses/agencies the NG are employed in back home?
Because it involves human life and not widgets, statistics go out the window as a judgement of significance in a pandemic.
