Yes it is. About 18 months ago, we had a 7.9, and it lasted about 45 seconds. That was even worse, and it damaged a condominium building so bad, they had to condemn the entire structure. So far, I haven’t heard any damage reports. There were numerous after shocks, in that previous quake. We were on the 3rd floor of Guisano Mall in in Bajada when that aftershock struck. We had no where to go, but the whole gigantic building was swaying. It was a helpless feeling, knowing we couldn’t do anything, but hope it would stop. 😁
