Joe Biden to Canada: Drop Dead
National Review ^ | 1/20/2021 | Rich Lowry

Posted on 01/20/2021 5:42:50 AM PST by Onthebrink

Poor Justin Trudeau. The Canadian prime minister must have been relieved to be done with President Donald Trump, only to learn that Joe Biden plans to tell Canada to pound sand as one of his first priorities.

According to reports, Biden wants to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline immediately, a pointless and economically destructive gesture meant to appease his party’s climate fanatics.

It’s not his obligation to work with Canada. It was up to Trueshit to do what was best for Canada, and not just Quebec.

I would have said the same thing if the President was Trump.

Hopefully, America’s concern for energy security gives Alberta a leg up for separation.

While I believe in Free Speech, I also believe in promoting our friends and doing nothing for those who did their best to bring down the Trump Administration over the past four years. For that reason, can I suggest that any posts from National Review on FR be banned? Its obvious that they now know they have no cred with the Biden Administration and they want to crawl back to the conservative side now that Trump is gone. We didn’t need National Review and we certainly don’t need them now.

Seems to me that Trudeau hates Alberta. I'd expect that he's overjoyed if the pipeline is scrapped while somebody else gets the blame.

Biden isn’t really going to cancel the Keystone pipeline, he’s just angling for “10% to the Big Guy”.

Seems?

It is without question that Trueshit hates Alberta, because Alberta wasn’t going to allow Trueshit to nationalize the oilsands for the sole benefit of Quebec.

Joe Biden plans to tell Canada to pound sand as one of his first priorities.

But I thought he was going to make "nice" with all of these foreign countries. I guess that just means Mexico.

“Seems to me that Trudeau hates Alberta.”

Flyover country is not just an American thing. I have been watching The Great Courses course on Marx and Engels. Marx despised the farmers and considered them to be ignorant rubes. How little things have changed in 170 years.

Higher prices is good for investors.

It’s unfortunate for the Keystone, unfortuantely.

Cui Bono...

Who Benefits..

* This oil was shipped by rail formally.
* Less safe than a pipeline.
* Who had the contract for this before?
* If my research and memory is correct Warren Buffett, BHO's buddy.

Does it all make sense now...

I’m sure for a discreet few tens of millions in one of Hunter’s accounts slow Joe could be convinced to flip on his position. Better hurry Canada, pretty soon Hunter and Joe’s rates are going to go up.

I understand your point but I want to promote our friends and National Review has proven they are NOT; I don’t mind posts from NY Times, Wash. Post etc. bc we KNOW what they are - those who “pretend” to be on our side now want to come back as there is no place for them to go although George Will and his toupee may get an invite to a Georgetown dinner or two. Thus, I say buy from My Pillow and Goya; think twice before you buy from Bed, Bath & Beyond or Kohl’s.

Is there anyway to stop the Occupier from closing down that pipeline? This bad news for my business, if gas prices shoot up I am effed. Well everyone will be as the cost of everything else will shoot up. Unreal that this is a priority for this jackass “Let me destroy US energy independence!”
