Are we soon to become a people without a country?
“Soon to be?”
Most people throughout history have been ruled by Kleptocrats whether they were called tribal leaders, pharaohs, emperors, kings, feudal lords, etc.
We were the rare exception.
Oh, we have a country all right. So do the people under the CCP.
The question is are the people "free" in the sense contemplated by the Declaration of Independence.
Rhetorical question, each person decides that issue personally. My point of view is that the US is a fake, out of bounds, dishonest government for about 100 years.
Freedom of religion? They have been trying to quash your right to worship as you choose for decades, unless you are a Muslim or a Wiccan, of course.
Right to vote? Yeah out the window, probably for good. The ruling class will be sure to put on a good show, just for window dressing.
Right to keep and bear arms? I don't suppose this one needs much of a comment. Funny thing, the Second Amendment people said from the beginning that efforts to limit the Second Amendment was like the camel's nose under the tent. Many scoffed.
Right to a fair trial? If you are on the right side, you won't even be prosecuted. You could have a laptop with child porn on it, nothing. But conservatives will be bludgeoned into submission with the myriad of laws on the books.
And what about a civilized redress of grievances? If one side doesn't like a statue, or a name, do they go through the democratic and legislative process? Hell no, they form a mob and pull it down. Your opinion or input? They could care less.
Yeah, we have a country, but the only thing that they care about you is that you pull your wallet out an pay your taxes. And rest assured, that will soon be higher too.
