I have some family photos stored on Microsoft OneDrive just for ease of access, no matter where I go.
That’s getting shut down today.
I’m with you. In addition to privacy concerns, I have to “unlink” my PC from OneDrive every single morning on booting up. If I don’t, OneDrive’s continual uploading causes my Internet speeds to be slower than the old-style dial-up modems.
That's why I bought a couple of terabyte backup drives. Photos, videos, original music, CDs to MP3s, it's all stuff that I, Sirius own.
Apple keeps sending me messages that I've maxed out my cloudspace. That's nice. Eff 'em.
For a Deep State totalitarian dictatorship, having people's pictures online is an intelligence gathering gold mine.
Most people don't think about it, but with facial recognition software, all those pictures provide a way to map your network of friends and family.
That network of associations can then be used to draw up a list of places to look if the Deep State ever decides it wants to hunt someone down.
