Liberal law professor Jonathan Turley on Saturday issued a warning about Democrats' long-term damage to the Constitution should they continue to press forward with their plans to impeach President Donald Trump (yet again) as his administration comes to a close.
"In seeking his removal for 'incitement,' Democrats would gut not only the impeachment standard but free speech, all in a mad rush to remove Trump just days before the end of his term," Turley wrote in an opinion piece for The Hill.

Thank you, Mr. Turley.
Oh, for God’s sake: Democrats don’t give a shit about the Constitution. They see it as an impediment to their agenda, and they can’t wait to get rid of it.
He doesn’t agree with the President’s words therefore “justified criticism”.
It isn’t going to work but it speaks to an insane amount of fear.
At first I thought it was fear of what President Trump may declassify.
Now I realize, it’s something are more concerning that has Pelosi, Cocaine-China Mitch and The Swamp in a tizzy.
There’s something brewing. May God’s hand reveal it all. Pray that His will does.
The next thing you know the democrats will set out to impeach Reagan.
Turdley is a useful idiot.
THEY DON’T CARE!!! OK? GET IT?
They care about the Constitution about as much as what they flushed down the toilet after breakfast.
I feel it too. They are acting extremely crazed, even for them. The “moderate” Republicans chiming in increases that feeling. We will know soon.
Democrats would gut not only the impeachment standard but free speech ...
Please. Whatever "standard" the law might have (and IMO, there is no standard, the law is totally flexible and outcome oriented tool used by the powerful against enemies and for benefit of powerful), it is already gutted. Let them have their fun.
Impeachement 1.0 was a mockery. Congress is a failed and corrupt institution. It is a cesspool. It is a danger to humanity.
LOL. All these academics, speaking academically. How many were persuaded the last time Dershowitz practiced his persuasion? ZERO.
On the practical side, the public is figuring out that the constitution is trash, garbage. That those who are supposedly bound by it, aren't. The courts, the executive, and the congress, all in cahoots against the public. Words don't constrain them.
I agree with Turley. He always makes a lot of sense to me.

The Republicans couldāve destroyed and annihilated the Dems and Biden in the first Impeachment, without a single Dem Vote, but they didnāt and you now have the Dems knowing that impeachment is a cheap political tool they can abuse.
If the GOP called Hunterās benefactors from all the Chinese, Ukrainian, and Russian countries (and their US counterparts) they couldāve called Corruption witnesses for a month, and weād never see another Impeachment in our lifetimes.

Thereās something brewing. May Godās hand reveal it all. Pray that His will does.

The only thing brewing is the mixed-drink comprised of power-hungry, money-hungry, and fame-hungry. These people really do see themselves in a class apart from everyone else, a sort of aristocracy.
Our political movement, existed prior to Trump. The elites have always known that. They just felt they could shame or character-assassinate anyone who tried to assume leadership of it. First they discovered that a man, namely Trump, proved immune to the character-assassination. Then second, our pesky movement doesn’t seem to be going away even though Trump is out of office. To the contrary it seems to be getting more stubborn despite all of the hysterical censorship and persecution they are raining down on us.
