Brian Sicknick, the Capitol police officer who died after the protests, was a strong Trump supporter, outspoken in his support of the president. He was a veteran with deployments to Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan as part of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Enduring Freedom. His dream from childhood was to be a police officer
Even as he served in them, he came to question America's participation in endless wars. In 2003 he wrote, "âI believe we should have regime change here in America. Itâs time to oust the arrogant oil hacks that occupy the White House.â
The circumstances of his death are still being investigated, but it seems like he was a really good guy. I hope he rests in peace.
Thank you
Original story was that he had a stroke at the station.
Then, that he was hit with a fire extinguisher.
Union rep talked about a medical incident with no mention of injury.
Sorry for his loss.
I don’t know exactly what happened, I wasn’t there. We communicated mostly through facebook. I live in Jersey and he moved to VA/DC in 2008.
I think it was the other way around, he was hit with fire extinguisher and then had a stroke. If he was hit in the head, it could have been a brain injury and yes it can take a little time before that affects you and cause a stroke. I am not saying that is 100% what happened, I don’t know. But from medical stand point, just from internet research, it can happen.
It happens in football with brain injuries. You can read articles about high school kid gets hit hard, feels fine then an hour or two later drops dead. It is serious
So was Ashli...
I was speculating that he could have been hit, wasn't too worried about it and didn't seek medical attention.
Went back to the station and a clot from the injury travelled to his heart.
Damn shame!
