VANITY: One very simple reason we need a new political party
The Fop

Posted on 01/08/2021 10:26:27 PM PST by The Fop

It's nice that some Republicans stuck up for Trump. Mo Brooks, Josh Hawley, Matt Gaetz, and Lauren Boebert all come to mind.

But upon further reflection, did anybody have the guts to state the obvious, and say "nothing short of a full forensic audit in the contested States will clear the air over who really won this election...there is no excuse for avoiding this, except covering up fraud"?

Maybe one or two people said something equally strong, and I just missed it. I know that Ted Cruz said something about the PA cover up, and one of the many PA thugs told him "stay out of PA's business".

Mostly, I heard a lot of the boilerplate "I will be objecting on January 6th". And so the question is, how many of these supposed Trump supporters knew, as well as all of us knew, that the fix was in, and the power brokers of both parties were not gonna allow the steal to be stopped?

I'm sure they all knew. So if they were truly outraged over a coup in the making, why didn't they speak up more forcefully? We all know the answer to that. They were going out on a limb for the Trump voters who were their voters too, but they couldn't go too far out, or they'd be risking the wrath of the party leadership, who were squarely against Trump.

Imagine if a GOP Congressman or Senator had said "there is a cover up going on, and sadly, members of our own party are part of it"? Now that would be real bravery, and it might have actually led to something. Instead, we're supposed to be thankful that some people made any effort to stand up for Trump at all. Why shouldn't we have expected more?

This isn't just about election fraud. Nixon had an election stolen from him, but he wasn't an outsider trying to take on a Uniparty that was in bed with our enemies and at war with the middle class.

This was about Trump trying to go to bat for the American people, and both parties trying to take him down. So if Matt Gaetz wants to call himself a Trump Republican, shouldn't he have been more willing to imply that something truly unholy was going on, instead of just using Trump's name to promote his own political future to MAGA voters?

We need a new party, because we need to be able to call out the GOP and the Dems equally, just as Trump did during his 2016 primary campaign. Once Trump won the nomination, and then became POTUS, his criticism of the GOP became much more muted. He was now the leader of the party, so he had to show some loyalty to people who hated him as much as Pelosi and Obama did.

After the role the GOPe played in this coup, I don't see how it can be reformed, if newbies have to make nice with the likes of Mitch and Lindsey on their way up. A new party would be completely free to promote an agenda that won't be at odds with an entrenched establishment that works to screw over upstarts, from Trump and Sarah Palin, to Bernie and AOC.

We need to create a party that's "a bigly amount of people under a small tent". When the tent is too big, you get power struggles, fake camaraderie, and the ultimate winner is always a Bush or a Clinton.

It will be hard enough to avoid falling into that trap, even if we have the purest intentions. Trying to take over a party that's been hating most of it's own voters, as well as it's most well liked politicians (Trump, Sarah, Reagan, Ron Paul) for the past 50 years doesn't seem too promising.

even the traitor GOP representatives and senators KNOW they have killed the party.

They don’t care.

If they cannot defend the constitution, why bother defending their own political party.

Total sellout cowards they all are.

A new party loses. It won’t have money.

What has to be done is some effort. Find out when your local party is meeting and get all the Deplorables you can to go there, and vote out anyone equivocating and making Quisling noises.

The GOPe disappears if they are made to disappear in the primary process. If you want to lean back and say voting doesn’t matter . . . then why do you want a new party.

Thee are already a dozen or so official “political parties”.
Tell me what good creating yet another one would do?

There’s much you didn’t hear.

And yes, there will be a new party. There’s no way the GOP survives this.

I’m familiar with European politics. Those countries have many, many parties. So shall we eventually.

If the future had 100 Senators, and 48 were Dems, 20 were GOP, and 32 were Patriot Party... see where I’m coming from?

In Europe, the majority picks the leader. Here, the voters do. So yes, we’d potentially have a 3 or 4 person race in the future.

The simple reason we don’t need a third party? Our victory margins aren’t exactly wonderful. Let’s say we’re lucky and the new party, newGOP, wins 90% of the oldGOP vote. That means newGOP starts out in the minority with maybe 1/3 of the seats. It’s wonderful that all of these people are 100% with the program. Problem is - they’re in the *minority*, and their only experience in office re the conservative agenda is watching it get steamrolled by a Democrat super-majority.

I don’t think it will happen. We essentially have multiple parties, but they fall under two umbrellas, that have to negotiate within and caucus, which is essentially happens if you have multiple parties anyway.

They would still have to caucus with the GOP, which is still GOPe to get anything done.

Staying in the GOP is the only way to get rid of the RINOs.

We are heading more towards the Euro style of election, but exempt the PM that is picked by the house majority.

But at this point, things are so dire, God only knows what happens next. And if it’s this bad BEFORE the commies take over...just wait until their grubby hands take the wheel. Holy ....

Whatever survives will be what President Trump reassembles during his second term.

The party will have whatever name he chooses, GOP or otherwise.

Maybe he’ll take Vernon Jones’ suggestion, the GNP.

After the role the GOPe played in the coup it is painfully obvious that the GOP CANNOT and WILL REFUSE to be reformed.

New party would attract Democrats and Independents too, how do you think Trump did so well in PA, MI, WI?

How hard can it be? The Green Party exists. The leaders of the GOP figure everybody will come back after this. They are betting on it. It’s gonna be business as usual. And then there are people like Ted Cruz who have asperations of being president and is repeating Mitch’s line of “Lets come together.” That ship has sailed Ted. I think people will be leaving the party as they left FOX NEWS. And Ted should ask himself if he was robbed would he be listening to the criminal who just robbed him say, “Lets come together”? Would you Ted? Would you now trust that criminal and hang out with him? I really think they think we are stupid as dirt. The people have woken up to the crap and there is a need for a third party that addresses their concerns. It won’t happen with the idiots and corruption there now. And how long to get them out without experiencing voter fraud by the Democrats to keep the corrupt GOP people in power. If Cruz was smart and moral he would quit the party of vipers and start a new party. I think people can do almost anything if they set their minds to it. And the Conservatives need a new social media of their own, owned by them.

If there was nothing to see here the first person who would call for a full and fair audit of the election would be Joseph Biden.

Think about it.....

If you or I won something legitimately and people said we cheated would we not welcome an investigation?

There is the only answer you need.

GOP stands for nothing. Take away the motivated Conservative base, and they have no reason to pander to Christians, and nothing to offer to Democrats....they are ripe for being killed off.

Because the GOPe betrayed

Goldwater

Reagan repeatedly

Palin viciously

Newt against Romney in case folks forgot

Trump from jump street and when we had real power they refused to use it because they feared it would benefit Trump

So talk radio and Freepers who cling to GOPe are doing just what the left wants

The GOPe is today basically Carter era Democrats....

75-80 million voted for Trump

That’s plenty for a new party

And they would follow him

People are so angry at the GOPe

Traitors all.....feckless

Snakes

I never liked em so it’s easy for me....my grandpa had his grandpa recount first hand the glories of GOPe and reconstruction

That’s a lesson most here don’t have

GOPe have had a few stars as president and legislators but few ....and way too many scumbags

And aside from Barry and Magnus and Trump they have never run a presiden candidate even remotely close to our conservatism.

Do Freepers even realize this

GOPe only looks good when compared to the crazies

Everytime i see one of these posts, I wonder if they don’t understand the very basics of how our government works?

The party that has majority control in the house, gets control of EVERY COMMITTEE, they get a majority of every committee and get the chairmanship of that committee.

Same with the senate.

That includes the house and senate conference committees, where they can butcher the legislation they have each voted for, to patch together a new bill that both houses will vote on again.

The chairman of house of representatives has a shocking degree of control over what legislation even comes up for a vote at all. Usually they can bury and disappear what they want to.

If there was a troll from Soros or DU, they would love to seduce us into splitting the party, or creating new ones, to ensure their dominance into perpetuity.

Well? In 2016, he won by less than 100K votes, combined for those states, in 2016. Well is, arguably, a 10% or higher margin. He won by under 1% in those states. That’s not well, the way it’s normally defined.

” a new party will not have money “

70 million times average investment in Our Political party times $100 a year...

Your right, the new party will not have Any money at all.

Commercial investment by Patriot business... Nopes still not gonna have money

Industrial investments... Etc etc.

Do I need to go on or just add a /s here.

Maybe I should give up math... Before I do could I get 1% off the top as a consultants fee for math lessons ??

Opps almost forgot, when the Uniparty self destructed and scorched earth itself, do you really think we are that stupid to try and ride off into the sunset holding hands and singing love songs???

No bloody way .
