The media that controls DC and the republicrats is fanning the flames, but people need to be honest with themselves and one another.
I am not really a Pence guy, but I feel like this place has turned into a pile-on when the steal was sealed long before yesterday.
Pence was supposed to twist himself into some parliamentarian pretzel on which even the Trump legal team did not fully agree and single-handily change the election in a congress that would not act and had already said they would certify the votes submitted by the states?
At what point do people admit the man was like a FG kicker facing a 70yd kick with 3 seconds left on the clock? Does not the entire team for the 4 quarters prior to that moment deserve some blame?
Could he have objected under the constitution? Maybe, but that has not really been how the process works and it is not as clear as some have made it out to be.
If you want to assign blame look no further than the republicrat legislatures in the contested states.
The constitution is clear. They were the ones who had legal authority to investigate and throw out invalid votes or correct the vote. They did not.
I almost wish that Trump had not filed lawsuits. They went nowhere and in hindsight all of the people with the constitutional responsibility simply kicked the can and pointed to the legal cases. The courts were not hearing them. Period. The courts simply ran out the clock and here we are.
