I understand the sentiment, and the anger behind the statement, but it is so politically naïve.
We need to remain in the GOP and take it over from within if we ever want to make any progress.
Why do you think that President Trump ran as a Republican rather than an independent? Because you need the party clout behind you.
Hell, even Bernie Sanders, (I, VT) ran for President TWICE as a Democrat, not as an independent, for the same reason.
The Radical Left took over the Democratic Party from within, starting in 1968 with the Chicago riots during the Democratic National Convention. They played the long game and eventually took over all of the leadership positions, and thereby setting the direction of the Party.
We need to infiltrate the GOP with MAGA people and take it over from the inside. The old RINO guard is dying off, and we need to inject new MAGA blood to keep the next generation of RINOs (Mittens, Cindy McLame, etc.) from keeping control.
A third party is a guarantee of permanent obscurity.
We need to remain in the GOP and take it over from within if we ever want to make any progress.
Impossible. We’ve just watched the GOP collude with progressive Democrats to steal President Trump’s four years in office. And then collude on the stolen election. The GOP is institutionally corrupt and unreformable.
I'll give it a shot until 2022, but if it's the same-old same-old, then forget it. Not happening.
