The problem with the GOP is the GOP.

They only sound and act like Republicans when they are running for office.

Once in office, they are what they are: demonrat-lite - half the calories, but all the BS.

None for me, thanks. I quit.

To repeat a great Freeper:

If voting mattered, they wouldn’t let you do it.

The Whigs became Republicans. Time for the republicans to end now. A new party must be formed.

From the 2000-era and the Bush-pretenders...the path was being laid for fakes to enter and play out some theatrical game. This is why it’s a serious mistake to just pause and wait two to four years to vote these characters out.

Pursue the new 3rd party and lay out that zero Republican support (even down into mayors, and governors).

Chinese manufactured Covid. And while the base might love Trump, the middle is certainly “Trump fatigued” at the very least and some of that is Trump’s own fault though not entirely. But once the economy was tanked, it was harder and harder to ignore some of his rancor. And I maintain that our own poo pooing of Covid cost us plenty of middle ground voters. We bungled this election so bad. And yeah, the RINO vs Conservatize comedy/drama definitely came to a disastrous conclusion.

Wasn’t Kemp the previous GA secretary of state?

It is unlikely I will vote Republican again, if at all.

Just filed my papers today, to un-Republicanize myself.

Newt is a traitor who stabbed Trump in the back, as I heard on War Room this morning. He is no better than Pence. Go back to your easy chair and shut the h___ up, Newt, you out of touch fool.

Newt gives me whiplash.

There are many times where he seems incapable of seeing that our body politic is FAR MORE corrupted than it was in the 90’s.

Then he will see it clearly and write about it brilliantly.

Then he will again come out with another piece of punditry that makes us all shake our heads at his naivety.

The only explanation I have is that Newt refuses to acknowledge the new reality of politics in America.

One political party no longer recognizes the norms and constitution.

Our courts no longer recognize these.

Our government institutions no longer recognize these.

Our media no longer recognize these.

The opposition political party does not understand what I wrote above and they are mostly invested in “business as usual” because they seek acceptance in their dense blue bubble and media environment.

The DC bubble corrupts most of the men and women we send there to represent flyover country. They leave one reality for another. Look at the knee-jerk reactions of republicrats yesterday fanned by the hysteria of the media.

1) Republican legislature mandated ‘no excuses’ absentee ballots many years back, meaning anyone who wanted one got one.

2) Dems, with Stacey Abrams leading, established databases of Dem voters, and requested absentee ballots via computer in mass quantities. This is how Abrams announced two days after the Nov. election that they had submitted 700,000 requests for absentee ballots (and this quickly grew to over a million requests).

3) Dem volunteers went down each street in black neighborhoods and made sure everyone completed the ballots and either collected them and dropped them off at drop boxes, or mailed them back. This is ballot harvesting, and Dems have developed it to an art form.

4) GA Sec. of State allowed new voters to be registered after the Nov. Election, and allowed them to vote in the Runoffs. Stacy Abrams said the Dems registered 100,000 new voters in about a month. Republican turnout was excellent in the Runoffs, but in close elections, 100,000 new Dem voters was just too much to overcome.

Nothing went wrong! The dims did the exact same thing they did on Nov 3rd!

BS. The Democrats didn't need to steal Georgia. Trump and McConnell gave it to them with their boneheaded blunders.

You can't blame vote fraud for everything.

Do t try to legitimize the election and blame Trump. The election was stolen. It had nothing to do with Covid.

The GOP is dead. It died yesterday.

So did the Republic. You can feel it in your bones, as if suddenly shifting your gaze up from the ground at your feet and seeing that, in every direction, all virtue has fled the people and qualities of your surroundings.

I remember reading that Nixon got a huge response during a rally in Atlanta in 1960. Of course, the GA returns were heavily for Kennedy.

At this point, while I am fully behind a new party, I also doubt there is a political answer any longer in this new dictatorship. You have to remove dictators, even oligarchs, by force.
