Look at the Democrats. You would think that slavery, Jim Crow, unaccountable elite-o-rama would have been the end of them, but they just keep plowing on. This is doable.
You are never going to please people who want you dead, but there are a whole lot of people out there who voted for Trump because he was the only offramp from the Uniparty. Those people are (most likely) going to be under siege in a Biden/Harris administration and they are going to want other local people to ally with. I think you can sail right in under their noses because they are not looking for this. Everything is some form of mass media these days and this is not that.
