Many more were expected to stand up and must have changed there minds after the protest.
Every party split has resulted in DEVASTATION for the causes of that party.
The last notorious example was the Bill Moose party.
That resulted in the Democrats gaining control and gave us 8 years of Woodrow Wilson.
