While the bellwether day-and-date HBO Max release of Wonder Woman 1984 left audiences divided, there can be no question that the sequel’s storyline reinforced writer/director Patty Jenkins’s vision for Gal Gadot’s version of the DC Comics heroine, reflecting ideals of compassion and mercy with pathological nuance. However, shockingly vicious imagery from an early concept photo displayed by the character’s first directorial steward, Zack Snyder, presents a stark contrast to her current ethos of unbridled optimism.

Unless Gal goes topless, I’m finished with WonderWoke.
The movie has been getting panned even by the woke. It is a cool pic. Anything involving a Highlander gets a thumbs up from me.
My hubby, who will watch pretty much any movie any time put this on yesterday. His verdict “it’s unwatchable”.
I figure that must make it one of the worst movies of all time, sad!
Zack Snyder destroyed the DC movie franchise. I was forced to watch JL. It was worse than I even imagined.
Both WW movies sucked.
Nolan directed the last good DC movies and Dark Knight Rises wasn’t one of them.
That photo is absolutely the movie that should have been made.
That’s a cool pic, but was hoping somebody would post the one with the vicious imagery.
“...she’s holding a trio of severed heads...”
Wonder Woman’s a muzzie?
Creativity is either so lacking, or so stifled in Hollywood that they have had to resort to comic book characters for story lines. Not just Hollywood, but all media now lives in fantasy world. Why? Because they dare not tell you the truth. The truth is out there, but you never hear it. Instead you’ll be fed a storyline from the socialist playbook about a Black, lesbian, transgender, pedofile that speaks truth to power, fight for equity and social justice in dystopian hellhole created by rightwing, facist slavetraders and bully boys.
Loved Dark Knight Rises. Loved The Dark Knight. Hated Batman.
Liked WW. Hated WW84. Hated Suicide Squad. Thought JLA was ok except for the horrible stupid villain. Had real potential.
I abandoned Hollywood when Disney abandoned the children. Almost nothing of any social redeeming value is produced by Hollywood anymore. Thank God for Turner Classic Movies because I can go there and be reminded of how it once was. If anyone pays to see the “Wonder Woman” movie featured in this article, they are a mental cripple and it takes nothing to entertain them. They just might pay to watch two flies breed and be stimulated. If Hollywood depended on me to sustain them financially, they would have gone under years ago. As consumers of anything, we get exactly what we are willing to pay for repetitively. That includes our government.
I watched WW84, went into it with low expectations.
Not a good movie, not a horrible movie. C at best...and 3 hours long.
